& Safety Guidance Rules
These rules should be read in conjunction with
the standard CORTECH CODE OF CONDUCT to which they are supplementary,
and which they do not supercede. These local rules merely coveer
requirements by many of our clients.
• All Engineers visiting a site must
sign in and out each day in the Reception area or appropriate
point. All individuals must be signed for
• All Engineer vehicles must be parked in an appropriate position
specific permission to take vehicles to other parts
of the site may be required
• The wearing of hard hats and safety footwear is mandatory
on all building sites and occasionally elsewhere –
please ask
• It is prohibited for Engineers to operate ANY customer vehicle
or lifting device whilst on site. Requests for the use
of such vehicles or devices to assist CORTECH
MUST be channelled through
the customers appropriate channels
• Engineers should not indulge in activity beyond the scope
of the job specification previously agreed. If in doubt
the guidance of the customer should be sought immediately
• If a Permit to Work has been issued Engineers should operate
at all times to the terms of the Permit
• Engineers should acquaint themselves with the location of
First Aid Rooms on site. All accidents, no matter how
minor should be reported IMMEDIATELY
to the customer and must be entered in the CORTECH
Accident Book
• Engineers are obliged to familiarise themselves with the
fire evacuation procedures on site. Copies are displayed
around the premises
